Jeep India To Hike Prices From January 2023 Onwards – Compass, Merdian, & More
Jeep India has announced that it will be hiking the prices of its SUVs sold in India from January 2023 onwards.
Unlike few other car manufacturers in the country, Jeep India has announced that it will be increasing the prices of its models anywhere between 2 per cent to 4 per cent from 2023 onwards.
Other than that, it is also worth mentioning that Jeep India will be increasing the prices of all models including the Jeep Compass SUV despite the model receiving a price hike of up to Rs 1.20 lakh on the ex-showroom price of the SUV in the month of November.
Moreover, Jeep India will also increase the prices of the newly launched Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. This means the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV will reduce its price advantage over its main competitors such as the Jaguar F-Pace, BMW X5, Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Range Rover Velar, and Volvo XC90.
However, to overcome the impact of sales due to the upcoming price hike, Jeep India will extend its current year offers to attract more customers. Furthermore, Jeep India dealerships could capitalise on the ongoing offers and upcoming price hike to create urgency among customers and increase sales during the year end.
Speaking about Jeep India, the US-based car manufacturer has high hopes for the Indian automobile market and reflecting this hope is the automaker's decision to assemble the newly launched Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV at the automaker's facility in Rajangaon, Maharashtra - This makes India the first market outside the US to locally assemble the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV.
Thoughts About Jeep India's Upcoming Price Hike
With the proposed price hike, we can expect Jeep India sales figures to take a minor dip in the first couple of months of the year 2023. However, we can also expect the US-based car manufacturer do more than decent sales figures during the year-end due to better offers and sales push achieved during the month of December.
