2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Teased - Launch On June 16

To build up the anticipation for the upcoming launch of the 2022 Hyundai Venue, the South Korean carmaker has released a few teaser images and a video of the facelifted compact SUV. The starting price for the new Hyundai Venue facelift is expected to rise by around Rs 10 to 20k compared to the current SUV's starting price of Rs 7.11 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Hyundai India claims that the facelifted Venue SUV has been conceptualized to exude a big and bold persona with a focus on exterior design as well as interior space and comfort.

The changes seen in the teaser images and video released by Hyundai follow this theme. The exterior of the facelifted 2022 Venue by Hyundai is quite different from its predecessor, especially at the front. The front grille seems to have been pinched from the upcoming Tucson for India and the 3D unit is finished in dark chrome.

However, unlike the ones seen in the Tucson, the DRLs are not a part of the grille which is instead flanked on either side by the turn indicators. Instead, the DRLs surround the new headlamp cluster on the front bumper. The front bumper also features a large air dam on its lower section along with a silver faux bash plate. The lower section of the front bumper, wheel arches, side sills and rear bumper are also done up in what appears to be dark plastic to give the SUV a tougher look.

The images of the facelifted Venue released by Hyundai also reveal that the 2022 version of the compact SUV will come with a new set of alloy wheels. The rear section of the Venue looks flatter and sports a revised set of taillights now connected by a thin LED light bar running across the width of the tailgate. The Hyundai badge and nameplate sit underneath this connecting light strip. Like the front bumper, the rear unit also features a faux bash plate finished in silver.

Thoughts On The Upcoming Hyundai Venue Facelift

The facelifted Hyundai Venue is set to hit Indian roads on the 16th of this month and the South Korean carmaker has made quite a few bold changes to the compact SUV's looks. These changes are in line with Hyundai's new Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy and really make the upcoming Venue look rather different than the one currently on sale.
