Hyundai's N Division revealed the RN22e alongside another concept dubbed the N Vision 74. Speaking about the two concept cars, Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Division at Hyundai Motor Company said, "RN22e and N Vision 74 play an important role in the strategic development of our entire product lineup, especially our electrified, high-performance vehicles. Rolling labs represent the continuous development of our most advanced technologies. This unique approach makes us ready for the challenges of the future by empowering us to push ourselves to the limit."

Hyundai RN22e Specs & Dimensions

The Hyundai RN22e features a dual motor setup - with one motor on each axle. The RN22e's dual motor setup produces 577bhp (430kW) and 740Nm of peak torque. While Hyundai hasn't revealed the 0-100km/h sprint time, the top speed of the RN22e concept is over 250km/h.

The Hyundai RN22e concept also features a few performance parts including twin clutches for torque vectoring which Hyundai claims elevates the corner-carving feel of the concept. Other track performance-enhancing features include 400mm hybrid disc brakes which feature four piston callipers. The RN22e also features 3D-printed parts for weight savings.

The Hyundai RN22e concept sports a 77.4kWh battery pack and the concept is based on the Hyundai Motor Group's E-GMP platform which allows for 800V fast charging capabilities. The Hyundai RN22e can fast charge it battery pack from 10 to 80 per cent in under 18 minutes.

The Hyundai RN22e measures 4,915 mm long, 2,023 mm wide and 1,479 mm tall. The concept electric car features a 2,950mm long wheelbase.

Hyundai RN22e Concept Design

The Hyundai RN22e concept's design is based on the recently unveiled Ioniq 6 streamliner electric sedan that was revealed just a few days back. However, the RN22e concept unlike the Ioniq 6 is more focused on performance and is quite a bit longer and wider and sits lower than the electric sedan on which it is based.

The RN22e concept features a large air intake at the front, dramatically flared wheel arches, a large rear diffuser and a rather massive rear wing.
