Tata Motors has launched the Altroz premium hatchback equipped with the DCT automatic gearbox. This makes the Tata Altroz, the second premium hatchback currently available in the country to offer a DCT automatic gearbox. So, let's compare some crucial specs between the Hyundai i20 DCT and Tata Altroz DCA.

Price
The prices for the Tata Altroz DCA ranges from Rs 8.09 lakh(ex-showroom, India) for the XM+ variant and goes up to Rs 9.89 lakh(ex-showroom, India) for the XZ+ Dark variant.

On the other hand, the Hyundai i20 equipped with the DCT gearbox is priced from Rs 9.76 lakh(ex-showroom, India) for the Sportz variant and prices go as high as Rs 11.33 lakh(ex-showroom, India) for the top-end Asta (O) variant.
Apart from that Tata Altroz DCA is available in 7 trim levels as opposed to just 3 trim levels available for the Hyundai i20 equipped with the DCT gearbox.

Design
Design has always been a very subjective matter and there are no clear winners here in this comparison.
The Tata Altroz does look a bit bolder and more masculine with its large wraparound headlights and a more aggressive-looking front end. Moreover, the large wraparound taillamps and black elements at the rear help the Tata Altroz maintain its aggressive stance.

In comparison, the Hyundai i20 looks a bir more elegant and sophisticated with its projector headlamps and large hexagonal front grille. Apart from that, the Z-shaped LED taillamps add a lot of youthfulness to the overall design of the Hyundai i20.
Apart from that, the interior of the new Hyundai i20 also looks a bit more premium thanks to its larger touchscreen infotainment unit. Also, the Hyundai i20 also come in N-Line trim that adds a few sporty touches and a few mechanical tweaks.

In comparison, the Tata Altroz equipped with the DCT gearbox comes with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated Revotron petrol engine with 85bhp of peak power and 113Nm of peak torque.
