Free-Of-Cost Electric Vehicle Charging In Delhi: ElectriVa Launches New Initiative To Increase EV Usage
Free-of-cost electric vehicle charging is now available in the national capital. EV Charging startup ElectriVa has started this initiative to incentivise EV ownership. Free EV charging facilities can be availed at over 40 charging stations across Delhi-NCR.
The only condition to avail the free-of-cost is that the EVs must be charged between 12pm and 3pm. At other times of the day, it will no longer be free of cost. It is definitely a great marketing move by the brand, but it is also much more than just another intelligent marketing solution.
Electric vehicle sales has been on the rise for a few years now. With each day, the number of electric vehicles being sold is only increasing. Several incentives and subsidies for electric vehicles, combined with the innovation and R&D prowess displayed by some manufacturers, has convinced many motorists to make the switch to green mobility.
With an increase in electric vehicles, comes an increase in the demand for charging stations. As a result, several EV charging startups have established themselves with the sole aim of solving the charging problem. EV users though are using these public charging stations only when necessary, preferring to charge their vehicles at home instead.
Make no mistake. Public charging stations are a necessity, but they are seeing some usage only during particular hours of the day. They are usually left unused during the afternoon. Again, this depends on the usage pattern of each individual EV user. In general though, most EVs are either parked at home or at the workplace in the afternoon.
Hence, in an attempt to increase brand awareness and to promote the use of electric vehicles, the marketing geniuses at ElectriVa have come up with the idea of free EV charging in the afternoon. You can now charge your EV at any of ElectriVa's 40+ charging stations between 12pm and 3pm.
These charging stations are located across Delhi-NCR. Some of the prominent locations include Hauz Khas, Greater Kailash, Rohini, Saket, Mayur Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, Bikaji Cama Place, Nelson Mandela Road, South Extension, South Campus, etc.
Sumit Dhanuka, founder of ElectriVa was quoted as saying, "We will provide charging to all commercial and non commercial EV users for free between 12 noon and 3 PM. By providing free charging during afternoon hours, we want to bolster the EV ecosystem in the national capital. Presently it is important to incentivise public charging to make people switch from fossil fuel to electric vehicles."
ElectriVa is also expanding rapidly and the brand aims to set up EV charging stations at three kilometre intervals. However, it is unclear at the moment, just for how long the free-of-cost EV charging model will be around.
Thoughts On ElectriVa Launching Free-Of-Cost Electric Vehicle Charging In Delhi
Who doesn't love freebies? It is quite easy to see that this free-of-cost charging initiative will surely encourage more EV users to use ElectriVa's charging infrastructure. It will also end up building an awareness about ElectriVa and its services.
