Force Gurkha 5-Door Dealer Staff Training Commences - Launch Soon
Force Motors is gearing up to launch the much-awaited 5-door version of the Force Gurkha SUV and the automaker has commenced the dealer staff training ahead of the launch of the SUV. This means Force Motors could launch the 5-door version of the Gurkha SUV within a few weeks.
Moreover, the launch of the 5-door version of the Force Gurkha SUV could not be at a better window as the waiting period for the Mahindra Thar SUV is not only long but the launch of the upcoming 5-door version of the Thar SUV could also take some time as Mahindra is yet to sort out the production to meet the market demand.
Speaking about the upcoming 5-door version of the Force Gurkha SUV, the model was previously spotted a few times without any camouflage. In addition to that, the two additional doors for the second-row passengers will make the Gurkha SUV a lot more practical and the SUV will appeal to a wider range of audience as well.
With the launch of the 5-door version of the Force Gurkha SUV, we expect overall sales figures of Force Motors to climb up. However, it is worth mentioning that the success of the model will also depend on the pricing as India is a very price-sensitive market.
In terms of design, the upcoming new 5-door version of the Force Gurkha, the SUV gets most of the design elements from the 3-door version of the SUV. This includes the front and rear bumper, front grille with 'Gurkha' badging instead of the company logo, LED headlights, LED taillights, and a few more. Apart from these changes, thanks to the addition of two new doors, the upcoming 5-door version of the Force Gurkha SUV is significantly longer than the 3-door iteration of the SUV.
On the inside, expect the upcoming 5-door version of the Force Gurkha to sport a revamped interior with an option for captain seats or bench seats on the middle row. However, the final production-spec seating configuration is yet to be known.
In terms of features, expect the 5-door version of the new Force Gurkha to come with an identical feature list with the inclusion of features such as a large-enough 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a part digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer and a tachometer, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, individual armrest, speed-sensing door locks, power windows, central locking, manual air-conditioning, follow-me-home headlights and a few more.
On the other hand, thanks to more safety-conscious buyers, we expect the 5-door version of the Force Gurkha to come with safety systems such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, one-touch lane change indicator, Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), speed alert, and a few more.
In terms of powertrain, we expect the 5-door version of the Force Gurkha to be powered by the same powertrain as the smaller 3-door version of the SUV. This means the upcoming SUV is likely to be powered by the tried-and-tested, 2.6-litre, Mercedes-derived, common rail, direct-injection, turbocharged, BS6 diesel engine.
This engine in the standard Force Gurkha SUV produces 91 bhp of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque. However, it will be good if Force Motors extracts a bit more power and torque from this engine to haul the additional weight of the 5-door version of the SUV. Moreover, a 6-Speed gearbox instead of the 5-speed unit will be a good upgrade as well.
Despite being more family-focused, we expect the upcoming 5-door version of the Force Gurkha SUV to feature differential locks at both axles and a low-range gearbox for extreme off-road ability.
Thoughts About The Upcoming Force Gurkha 5-Door
With the launch of the Force Gurkha 5-door, we expect sales figures of the automaker to increase by a decent margin as the SUV will appeal to a wider range of customers.
