Ahead of the launch, Citroen has revealed more details about the C3 for the Indian market including the engine & gearbox options and mileage. The Citroen C3 for India is offered with a single engine option - a 1.2-litre petrol - which is offered in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged guises. The naturally aspirated engine will be offered with both Live and Feel trim levels while the turbocharged unit will be exclusive to the Feel trim level.

The naturally aspirated version of the 1.2-litre engine in the Citroen C3 for India pushes out 81bhp and 115Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Citroen C3 with the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine delivers a mileage of 19.8km/l.

The turbocharged Citroen C3 uses the same 1.2-litre engine but with the added turbocharger for more oomph. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine in the India-spec C3 produces 108bhp and 190Nm of peak torque. The turbocharged C3 is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the engine delivers a mileage of 19.4km/l.

The Citroen C3 for India is 3,981mm long, 1,733mm wide and it stands 1,586mm tall. The Citroen C3's wheelbase is 2,540mm long and the hatchback offers a ground clearance of 180mm.

The Citroen's wheelbase when is longer compared to both the Tata Nexon and the Hyundai Venue. The C3's wheelbase is 42mm longer than that of the Nexon and 40mm longer than the Venue. THe C3 features two interior trim options - a rather bland Anodized grey and dual-tone orange with grey setup that looks very vibrant. The C3 also features a digital driver's display and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard.
