BMW Has Launched The M4 Competition In India: Prices Start From Rs 1.43 Crore
BMW has launched the much-awaited M4 Competition xDrive model in India and has been priced at Rs 1.43 Crore (ex-showroom, India). This makes the high-performance coupe the 10th M vehicle from the German automaker to make it to Indian shores.

The BMW M4 Competiton xDrive is the highest performing variant in the BMW 4 Series lineup and the coupe has always been the benchmark in its respective segment.

The most highlighting area of the new BMW M4 Competition xDrive is its powertrain and it is what enables this performance coupe to humble many supercars twice its price.

Speaking about the powertrain, the BMW M4 Competition xDrive is powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, straight-six engine and this engine develops 501bhp and a mammoth 650Nm of torque.

This power and torque is sent to all four wheels via BMW's sophisticated xDrive system and an equally advanced 8-speed automatic transmission.

Thanks to this advanced drivetrain, the BMW M4 Competition xDrive could catapult itself from a standstill to a 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds despite weighing at an SUV-like 1.8-tonnes. Moreover, the performance coupe can reach 200km/h in just 12.5 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 290km/h.

Also, helping the BMW M4 Competition cope with such speeds are 275/35 ZR19 tyres at the front and 285/30 ZR20 tyres at the rear.

Speaking a bit more about the BMW M4 Competiton xDrive's advanced drivetrain, the performance coupe's all-wheel-drive system is a predominantly rear-biased system that shuffles power between the front and rear tyres via an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch.

Moreover, the xDrive system and Active M differential is directly connected to the Dynamic Stability Control to minimise the latency and improve the overall system response. This enables the vehicle to make minute adjustments that feels completely natural.

In terms of features, BMW has equipped the BMW M4 Competition xDrive with BMW's Laserlight system and carbon-fibre-reinforced-plastic (CFRP) as standard. To further differentiate the model from the standard model, BMW has equipped the M4 Competition xDrive with aerodynamically optimised fins.

Despite such serious performance, the BMW M4 Competiton offers a generous 440-litre boot space.
