2022 Toyota Glanza Variant Details Leaked Ahead Of Launch: 4 Trim Levels On Offer

The Manual transmission variants of the new 2022 Toyota Glanza is available in 4 trim levels - E, S, G, V. Whereas the automatic transmission variants are available in the top 3 trim levels.

Speaking about the trim levels on offer, the 'E' variant is the base variant and comes equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox only. This trim level comes equipped with features such as ABS, EBD, Dual airbags, front seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, speed warning buzzer, immobilizer, tilt-adjustable steering, auto AC, pollen filter, keyless entry, parking sensors, electronic tailgate, speed-sensing auto door lock, etc.

The next trim level on offer is the 'S' variant. Unlike the base variant, this variant can be optioned with the 5-speed AMT unit and comes with additional features such as a security alarm, Vehicle Stability Control and Hill-Hold Function. However, the last two features are available in the AMT variant only.

The 'G' variant is even more generously equipped and can be configured with the AMT gearbox. This variant adds the side curtain airbags and tilt&telescopic steering wheel.

The top-end trim level is the 'V' variant. It comes equipped with all the above-mentioned features and even offers Vehicle Stability Control and Hill-Hold Function in the manual variant.

As mentioned, the new 2022 Toyota Glanza will be offered in both manual and automatic variants. However, the automatic variant of the new Glanza hatchback now comes with a 5-speed AMT unit instead of the CVT unit from the outgoing model.

Apart from these, Toyota claims that they have added 16 more features in the new Glanza and these features include a 360-degree surround-view camera, Cruise Control, DCM based telematics, Sun visor with ticket holder, Heads-up display, 9-inch infotainment unit, curtain airbags, 2 USBs at the rear, ESP, more powerful engine, rear AC vents, 'Hey Toyota' voice assistance, Hill Hold Control, Start/Stop technology, Arkamys Sound System, and remote control App for audio.

In addition to these, it has been confirmed that Toyota will use the 1.2-litre Dual VVT engine that adjusts the timing on both intake and exhaust camshafts. Thanks to this engine, the new Glanza makes more power.

To be exact, the new 2022 Glanza makes 88.50bhp of peak power at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of peak torque at 4,400rpm. Also, it has been also been confirmed that the new Toyota Glanza will weigh anywhere around 920-960kgs.

Apart from that, the new 2022 Toyota Glanza will also feature a redesigned front grille along with larger 14-inch disc brakes and an improved suspension system.
