2022 Toyota Glanza Bookings Open: Booking Amount Set At Rs 11,000

As the new Toyota Glanza is essentially a rebadged version of the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the production of both the premium hatchbacks takes place at the Maruti Suzuki's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gujarat.

When Toyota launches the new 2022 Glanza in India, expect the premium hatchback to be available in two trim levels.

Exterior

In terms of the design, the new 2022 Toyota Glanza will be almost similar to the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno with the inclusion of shared design elements such as LED headlamps, new L-shaped taillamps, ORVMs and more.

However, unlike the previous iterations, expect the new Glanza to sport some minor design changes such as an all-new front grille.

Interior

The new 2022 Toyota Glanza will feature an all-new dashboard identical to the 2022 Baleno. This means the new Glanza will sport a new larger touchscreen infotainment unit with AC vents placed below it.

Other than that, the new Glanza is expected to feature a different fabric or leatherette upholstery on the seats.

Features

In terms of features, the new 2022 Toyota Glanza will mimic the features in the new Baleno with features such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, revised instrument console, wireless charging pad, connected-car tech, heads-up display, and many more.

Safety

Similar to the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the upcoming 2022 Toyota Glanza will also come with a similar set of safety systems such as 6 airbags, ABS, ESP, a 360-degree surround-view camera, Hill-Hold Assist, EBD, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX anchoring points and a few more.

In addition to these safety systems, the new 2022 Glanza hatchback is expected to weigh around 50-70 kgs heavier than the previous model. Apart from that, the new 2022 Toyota Glanza also features a pair of larger 14-inch disc brakes and an improved suspension system from the updated new Baleno.

Powertrain

The 2022 Toyota Glanza will be offered with just one engine option. This engine is a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a 12-volt mild-hybrid system with DualJet technology. This engine in the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno produces 89bhp of peak power and 113Nm of peak torque.

Expect this engine to come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
