2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Launched In India At Rs 41.70 Lakh: New Features, Design
While automotive enthusiasts in India await the launch of the Toyota Hilux SUV in India, Toyota has launched the facelifted version of the Camry Hybrid in the country for Rs 41.70 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
This is the second update from the Japanese automotive giant for the eighth-generation Toyota Camry Hybrid since its launch in India back in 2019.
Like most facelifts, the update brings a few cosmetic changes on both inside and out along with a few additional features. Thanks to the latest update, the Toyota Camry Hybrid now looks a bit more sporty and contemporary.
This sportier look is achieved by using a sleeker-looking front grille with less chrome. Apart from that, the updated Toyota Camry Hybrid gets reprofiled front bumpers with larger air intakes.
Moving to the sides, the side profile remains largely similar to the previous version, however, the update brings a set of new dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels.
The rear section of the updated Camry Hybrid also looks sporty thanks to the darkened inserts on the LED taillamps and a slightly sharper looking rear bumper.
Inside, the new Toyota Camry Hybrid gets new features as part of the facelift. Features-wise, the updated Toyota Camry Hybrid now comes with a new infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a 9-speaker JBL audio system.
Apart from this, the new updated Camry comes with features such as ventilated front seats with memory function, cruise control, heads-up display, electronic sunroof, three-zone climate control, wireless charging pad, power reclining rear seats, power sunshades for rear passengers and many more.
Thanks to the larger 9.0-inch infotainment, the AC vents at the front are now positioned below the infotainment unit.
Safety-wise, the updated Toyota Camry Hybrid comes with top-tier safety features such as nine airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Park Assist with Back Guide Monitor, VSC, TC, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Hill-Start Assist and many more.
The updated Toyota Camry Hybrid continues to use the tried-and-tested 175.5bhp 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine, which is further assisted by a 160kW electric motor. Combined, this powertrain produces a healthy 215bhp.
Moreover, the Toyota Camry Hybrid also comes with three driving modes - Sport, Eco and Normal.
According to Toyota's official press release, the new Toyota Camry's hybrid battery comes with a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 kms.
Thoughts About The New Facelifted Toyota Camry Hybrid
The new facelift brings much more style and essential features to the Toyota Camry Hybrid. Apart from that, thanks to rising fuel prices and stringent emission norms, buying a hybrid car has never made more sense.
