2022 Maruti Suzuki Dzire S-CNG Launched: Prices Start From Rs 8.14 Lakh

Apart from that, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the CNG version of all models that are currently being sold through its Arena dealerships.

Speaking about the powertrain, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire S-CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated, DualJet, 4-cylinder, petrol engine. Sipping petrol, this engine produces 88.50bhp of peak power and 113 Nm of peak torque.

However, with the CNG fuel, this engine produces slightly lower power and torque outputs. According to Maruti Suzuki, this unit with CNG fuel produces 76.6bhp of peak power and 98.5Nm of peak torque.

While the standard version of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets a 5-speed AMT transmission as well, the CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki comes mated to 5-speed manual transmission as standard.

Maruti Suzuki has also re-tuned the suspension of the Dzire S-CNG to cope with the added weight of the factory-fitted CNG kit. In addition to these changes, Maruti Suzuki has also added Dual Inter-Dependent ECU units, a new fuel gauge, and safety switches for engine cut off while refuelling.

At present, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire S-CNG will compete against other sub-4m factory-fitted CNG sedans such as Hyundai Aura CNG and Tata Tigor CNG.

Speaking about Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the model is the sedan version of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, and like the hatchback, the sedan version is also very successful in the Indian automobile market.

In addition to that, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire became the second-highest selling model in February 2022 by selling more than 17,000 units.

The launch of the CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is crucial for the Indo-Japanese company as it plans to attract more buyers as rising fuel prices have become a concern for many car buyers in India.

Thanks to the CNG fuel, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG will be a lot more fuel-efficient as well as economical to run and the Indo-Japanese company can lure in people who are concerned about the running cost of their vehicle.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is also a very well-equipped sedan despite its compact dimensions. The Sift-based sub-4m sedan comes packed with features such as LED projector headlamps, a 7-inch infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted audio and telephone controls, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Cruise Control, Electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs and many more.

Also, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes with safety life-saving systems such as dual airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD, reversing camera, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill-Hold Assist, and a few more safety systems.
