2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza To Be Launched On June 30

Maruti Suzuki is likely to launch the new Brezza SUV on June 30. Apart from that, the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been spied recently during the TVC shoot in Cyber City, Gurgaon. However, the Indo-Japanese automaker is yet to open bookings for the SUV.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was launched in 2016 and immediately became a default choice for many sub-4m SUV buyers in the country. At the time of launch, the Vitara Brezza was powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

However, this engine was replaced with a BS-6 compliant 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produced 103bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. This new engine was also more powerful than the diesel unit.

Despite losing the diesel powertrain, the sales of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza remained strong in the Indian market. However, the competition soon caught up with the sales figure of the Vitara Brezza.

Speaking about the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the model had been recently spied at Gurgoan during the TVC shoot of the SUV. From the spy shots taken, the new 2022 Brezza sports a heavily revised design.

Diving into the details of the spied images, the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza comes with an all-new front end design with its new bumper, headlights, fenders, and front grille. The new twin-pod LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights makes the SUV look a bit more contemporary.

Moreover, the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza also sports a new set of 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza features all-new tail lamps that look quite sharp and make the new Brezza look quite sophisticated.

Also, the upcoming new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to come loaded with features. Speaking about features, we expect the upcoming new Brezza to sport an almost similar feature list to the recently updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

This means the 2022 Maruti Brezza is likely to come with features such as a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, connected car tech, 360-degree surround-view camera, a heads-up display, Climate control, ABS, EBD, 6 airbags and much more.

In terms of powertrain, the upcoming new Brezza will feature the automaker's new K15C 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This is the same engine that powers the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and this new engine in the Ertiga produces 101.6bhp of peak power and 136.8Nm of peak torque.

Thanks to the new petrol engine, we also expect Maruti Suzuki to replace the ageing 4-speed torque converter and replace it with the new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. However, the 5-speed manual gearbox will be continued to be offered.

We also expect Maruti Suzuki to offer the new Brezza with a factory-fitted CNG kit. However, this model will exclusively come with the 5-speed manual gearbox.

Prices for the outgoing version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza starts from Rs 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base variant and goes all the way up to Rs 11.33 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the top-end variant with the automatic gearbox.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza was launched in 2016 and received a significant update in 2020. However, the SUV's design and we expect the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza to add a new lease of life.
