2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Infotainment Unit Teased: Comes With Bigger Infotainment Unit & Many More

Recently, Maruti Suzuki has rolled out a few teasers that showcase highlighting features of the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Now, the latest teaser from the Indo-Japanese manufacturer reveals the uprated touchscreen infotainment that will be present in the upcoming 2022 iteration of the premium hatchback.

From the most-recent teaser video of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno, it is clear that the new iteration of the premium hatchbacks uses a larger infotainment unit which appears to be around 9.0-inch in size and as a result, the AC vents have been re-positioned below the uprated touchscreen infotainment unit.

According to sources, the new 9.0-inch infotainment system runs on an improved operating system which has been developed along with Toyota. Moreover, the new infotainment unit looks much sharper and more elegant looking than the previous unit.

Other changes on the inside include a reprofiled dashboard that houses the above mentioned 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, heads-up display, revised instrument console, flat-bottom steering wheel, and a few more.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno may also come with other attractive features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging pad, Suzuki Connect telematics and much more.

According to sources, Maruti Suzuki anticipates high demand for its upcoming premium hatchback, and as a precaution, the company has already commenced the production of the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno ahead of its launch.

This demand is to be expected as it is a major launch for Maruti Suzuki's Nexa range of dealerships after a large gap. Apart from that, we expect Maruti Suzuki to soon ship the 2022 iteration of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno to dealerships across the country.

According to sources, the production of Maruti Suzuki's latest premium hatchback takes place at the state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Gujarat and the picture of the 2022 Baleno at the production plant was recently shared online.

Other changes on the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno includes major revisions on the exterior such as revised front and backend with updated front grille, LED headlamps, front bumper, fog lamps, rear bumper, sleeker-looking L-shaped taillamps and many more.

We expect the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno to continue using the same tried-and-tested powertrains from the outgoing model. This means the new Baleno will be powered by the 82bhp 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated K12 petrol engine with 113Nm of torque, and the more advanced 89bhp 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with an identical torque output.

Both engines are likely to come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. However, the updated 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno may come with an AMT gearbox instead of the CVT unit that does duty on the outgoing model.

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is also likely to feature strengthened underpinnings and better grade steel for significantly better safety ratings.
