From the images, it is clear that the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback now looks a lot more premium and upmarket, thanks to its redesigned elements all-around.

For starters, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno now comes with sharper-looking projector LED headlights, redesigned front grille and a bit more aggressive-looking front bumper.

At the rear, the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno sports new split LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper. However, the silhouette of the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno remains largely similar to the outgoing version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

Since the new model is a facelift, expect the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno to continue using the same tried-and-tested powertrains from the outgoing model. This means the new Baleno will be powered by the same 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated K12 petrol engines.

The first engine option is an 82bhp unit with113Nm of torque, whereas the second engine option is a more advanced 89bhp Dualjet petrol engine with an identical torque output.

Both engines are likely to come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard fitment. However, the updated 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno might be offered with an AMT gearbox instead of the CVT unit on the current model.
