2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Bookings Open: Comes With Heads-Up Display

From the recent spy shots that went viral on the internet, we know that the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will feature a thoroughly updated interior and exterior. Apart from that, it is also rumoured that the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno could also sport better quality sheet metal.

According to sources, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will feature an all-new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with a new and improved operating system which has been developed along with Toyota and it also features a heads-up display (HUD).

Apart from this, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno could also come with attractive features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster, updated upholstery, a wireless charging pad, and Suzuki Connect telematics.

Thanks to increasing awareness among car buyers regarding safety, the 2022 iteration of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno could feature strengthened underpinnings and better grade steel to improve crash safety. This means the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno may even score a 5-star safety rating.

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will use a new K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine. However, the company has not released any figures regarding the power and torque output of this new engine, but we expect this engine to have similar power and torque figures of the current model.

Apart from that, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will come with both manual and automatic transmissions. However, the Indo-Japanese company may ditch the CVT gearbox in favour of the AMT gearbox.

At present, the outgoing model comes with two engine options, where the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated K12 petrol engine produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. Whereas the 1.2-litre Dual jet petrol engine produces lightly more power at 89bhp and 113Nm of torque.

Since Maruti Suzuki is yet to announce the price of the new Baleno, we expect the new Baleno to be priced competitively yet slightly more premium to the existing model.

However, we believe the demand for the 2022 Baleno will be high as it is a major launch for the Nexa outlets across the country after a large gap. In anticipation of this demand for the upcoming premium hatchback, Maruti Suzuki has already started the production of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno ahead of its launch in the country at the brand's manufacturing plant in Gujrat.
