2022 Lexus ES300h Launched In India At Rs 59.71 Lakh - New Infotainment & More

With the launch of the updated version of the ES300h luxury hybrid sedan this festive season, Lexus is fully utilising the sales push achieved during the festive season in India. Moreover, the launch of the updated model will further push the sales figures of the automaker's best-selling model in India.

Under the bonnet, the updated 2022 Lexus ES300h luxury hybrid sedan continues to be powered by the same tried-and-tested, 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated, Atkinson cycle petrol engine. This internal combustion engine is further assisted by an electric motor and together produces a maximum power output of 214bhp.

Moreover, the 2022 Lexus ES300h luxury hybrid sedan comes with a CVT gearbox. It is also worth mentioning that the Lexus ES300h is not a plug-in hybrid, but a self-charging hybrid vehicle.

Thanks to this powertrain, the 2022 Lexus ES300h luxury hybrid sedan can reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 8.9 seconds. However, Lexus has limited the top speed of the 2022 Lexus ES300h luxury hybrid sedan to just 180km/h - Which is still plenty considering the current road infrastructure.

Thanks to the hybrid powertrain in the 2022 Lexus ES300h, the luxury hybrid sedan is more fuel efficient than most budget hatchbacks in the country with a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.6km/l.

Though the Lexus ES300h hybrid sedan has been updated, the changes on the exterior are barely noticeable with changes such as the new Lexus logo on the front grill and tailgate. However, most of the changes on the 2022 iteration of the Lexus ES300h luxury sedan is focused to improve comfort and convenience.

For starters, the 2022 Lexus ES300h now gets improved storage space around the centre console and also gets a load of updated features including Lexus dynamic voice recognition feature, a hands-free boot, and a new upgraded infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

At present Lexus retails six different models in India, this includes cars such as the Lexus NX SUV, RX SUV, LX SUV, ES sedan, LS sedan, and LC coupe.
