Top-Selling Cars In India In July 2021: Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Swift & Baleno Take Top-Three Spots
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR is the best-selling car in India for July 2021. The Swift and the Baleno takes the second and third spot in the top 25 best-selling cars in the sales chart next month.

Sales Analysis
Maruti Suzuki WagonR registers 22,836 units with an yearly growth of 69 per cent as compared to the sales numbers from July 2020. The hatchback has also registered a monthly growth of 14 per cent, which stood at 19,447 units.
Maruti Suzuki Swift takes the second spot in the sales chart by registering 18,343 units. This is an yearly and monthly growth of 81 per cent and 3 per cent, respectively.
The Baleno takes the third spot in the sales chart last month by registering 14,729 units, which is an annual growth of 27 per cent from the July 2021 sales.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga continues to be the best-selling MPV in India and takes the fourth spot in the top 25 best selling cars for last month. The MPV registers sales of 13,434 units. This translates to annual growth of 58 per cent.
Breaking the Maruti Suzuki's dominance in the top 5 best selling cars sold in India last month is the Hyundai Creta. The mid-size SUV from the South Korean automaker registers 13,000 units of sales in the last month resulting in annual growth of 13 per cent.
Sixth, seventh and eighth spots on the sales chart is secured by the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Vitara Brezza and the Dzire. They have registered 12,867 units, 12,676 units and 10,470 units respectively in the last month.
Tata's current best-seller, the Nexon compact-SUV puts the brand inside the top 10 best selling cars list for July 2021. It has registered 10,287 units, which is an annual growth of 138 per cent.
Completing the top-10 best-selling cars for the last month is the Maruti Suzuki Eeco. The Van has registered sales of 10,057 units in July 2021, which is an 18 per cent increase as compared to the sales from July 2020.
Eveleth and twelfth places have been secured by i10 Grand and the Venue in the top 25 best-selling cars in India last month. They have registered 9,379 and 8,158 units in the last month with an annual growth of 12 per cent and 22 per cent, respectively.
While the Kia Sonet and the Seltos have registered thirteenth and fourteenth places in the sales chart last month as they clocked 7,675 and 6,983 units. The Sonet was not available in July 2020, however, the Seltos was available which registered 8,270 units, which is 16 per cent more than the sales from last month.
The Tata Altroz takes fifteenth place in the top 25 best selling cars in India for July 2021. The premium hatchback from the brand has registered 6,980 units, which is 3,344 units more than the sales from the same period last year. This translates to annual growth of 92 per cent.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, the Tata Tiago and the Hyundai i20 are placed on the 16, 17 and 18 places in the best selling cars for the last month.
While Mahindra and Toyota finally enter the best selling car sales chart with the Bolero and the Innova Crysta in 19 and 20 spots for the last month, respectively.
The 21, 22 and 23 spots are taken by the Mahindra XUV300, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 and the Nissan Magnite, respectively. The XUV300 and the XL6 have seen an annual growth of over 100 per cent in the last month.
The final two spots of the top 25 best selling cars in India for July 2021 are taken by the Hyundai Aura and the Mahindra Scorpio. The Aura has seen an annual growth of 119 per cent in the last month, while the Scorpio saw a growth of 23 per cent.
Thoughts About The Top-Selling Cars In India In July 2021
A quick look at the table and we could notice that 8 out of the 10 cars from Maruti Suzuki who has proved their dominance in the car sales last month. The 8 models from Maruti Suzuki includes WagonR, Swift, Baleno, Ertiga in the top 4 spots. The Alto, Vitara Brezza and the Dzire are placed in the sixth, seventh and eighth spots, respectively.
Hyundai Creta and Tata Nexon are the only two models to make it to the top 10 list and is placed on the fifth and ninth places in the sales chart last month. Finally, the tenth spot is taken by the Eeco.
