Tata Motors Bags 300 Nexon EV Order From CESL: Here Are All Details

Tata Motors has bagged yet another order from one of the government organization. (CESL) Convergence Energy Services Limited a wholly-owned subsidiary of (EESL) Energy Efficiency Services Ltd has placed a Letter of Award to procure 300 Nexon EVs.

According to CESL, the procurement of electric SUVs is part of scaling up the Demand-Side Energy Efficiency Sector Project financed by the Asian Development Bank's line of credit to the organization.

The contract issued by the organization said, "300 electric cars with 3 years of warranty. This will consist of 300 four-wheeler electric cars (whose length is less than 4 metres) and range equal to or more than 250km."

The total cost of tender bagged by Tata Motors is approximately Rs 44 crore. The automaker will fulfil the contract in two phases. The first phase will see Tata Motors delivering 300 cars with a 3-year warranty. It has to be a 4 wheeler with less than 4M length and range equal to or more than 250km. The base price for the EVs is set at Rs 14.33 lakh per unit, exclusive of GST.

The second phase of the contract will include inland transportation, loading, unloading, transfer of electric SUV to a designated location, transit insurance, and other costs incidental to towards the delivery of vehicles. The cost for delivery of vehicles is set at Rs 21,000 per unit.

The Indian Government and its regulatory bodies are looking to adopt electric vehicles. The Nexon EV with a practical range of around 250 kilometres along with modern features and a spacious cabin has become an ideal choice to switch from conventional to green mobility.
