Tata Harrier Dark Edition New Variants Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 16.50 Lakh
Tata Motors has launched new variants of the Harrier Dark edition in the India market. The Harrier Dark edition is now available in 'XT' and 'XT+' and are priced at Rs 16.50 lakh and Rs 17.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The newly launched Dark edition variants of the Harrier SUV are now only Rs 10,000 more than its respective standard models. Also, the newly launched variants are now the base-variants of the Harrier Dark special-edition SUV.

After the latest update, the Tata Harrier Dark is now available in six variants including two automatic trims: XT, XT+ XZ, XZ Plus, XZA and XZA Plus. The special edition SUV now retails between Rs 16.50 lakh and Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Harrier Dark edition features a host of changes to tell it apart from the standard model. It features an all-black paint scheme called ‘Atlas Black', 17-inch Blackstone alloy wheels, blacked-out scuff plates at both ends, dark-toned tail lamps, and shark fin antenna; among others.

On the inside, the special edition SUV features a blacked-out cabin, Benecke Kaliko leather seat upholstery with contrast grey stitching, and Blackstone grey dashboard. All the chrome trims from the standard Harrier variants are finished in a new gunmetal grey chrome pack. It adds a contrasting look to the all-black interiors.

Apart from these changes, the Tata Harrier Dark edition continues to borrow other features from the standard model. This includes an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls, 7-inch colour MID, climate control and a 9-speaker JBL premium audio system.

The safety net on the SUV includes six-airbags ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, reverse parking camera, electronic stability control, and traction control. The Harrier also features hill start assist, seat-belt reminders, high-speed warning, and hill-descent control.

Mechanically it will remain the same as well. The Tata Harrier continues to feature the same BS-VI spec 2.0-litre ‘Kryotec' diesel engine. It produces 168bhp and 350Nm and comes mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox, with an optional six-speed automatic.

In addition to the latest update, the company has also increased the prices of its recently launched XT+ variant. It now retails at Rs 17.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and becomes Rs 21,000 more expensive than its initial retail price.
