Porsche Panamera 4 10-Year Edition First Look Review: Celebrates A Decade Of The Luxury Sport Saloon
The country's first Panamera 4 10-year edition saloon was recently on display at the Porsche Centre in Bangalore. DriveSpark was given exclusive access to spend some time with the sports saloon from Porsche, to bring a first look and walkaround of the special edition model.
Porsche India introduced the special '10-Year Edition' of its luxury sports saloon, the Panamera 4 in the market back in June 2020. The new Porsche Panamera 4 10-year edition is offered with a price tag of Rs 1.60 crore, ex-showroom (India) and features a number of cosmetic and accessories update, over the standard model.

The Porsche Panamera 4 10-year edition, as the name suggests was introduced earlier this year to celebrate 10-years of production of the luxury sports saloon. The Panamera was introduced in the global markets in 2009 and has been on sale in multiple markets worldwide with sales of over 2.50 lakh units.
The Porsche Panamera became an instant success for the brand, having been received worldwide. The Panamera is known across the world for offering performance figures similar to that of a two-door sports car while combining it with the luxury, comfort and convenience of a four-door, four-seater saloon.

The 10-year edition of the Porsche Panamera further comes with a host of additional equipment, which adds to the comfort and performance of the saloon, at no extra cost. It also comes with a host of exclusive design highlights and elements, which make it stand out from the standard version.

Design & Styling
The Porsche Panamera 4 10-year edition carries forward the same design and silhouette as the standard version. There are no changes to its overall styling, although the anniversary edition does come with exclusive design elements and highlights, both on the exterior and interiors which are not offered on the standard models.
Starting from the front, the 10-year edition features the brand's Matrix LED headlamps with the PDLS Plus (Porsche Dynamic Lighting System) as standard. The special edition model also features 21-inch alloy wheels which are finished in an exclusive satin-gloss White Gold Metallic colour scheme.

The saloon also comes with the ‘Panamera 10' logo on both front doors, indicating the 10-years of production. This badging is again finished in the same White Gold Metallic colour, matching the alloy wheels. The 10-year edition also comes with a blacked-out roof, which features a panoramic sunroof as standard.

The rear of the Panamera 4 special model, however, remains unchanged featuring LED tail lights which are connected by an LED strip. There is also the 3D ‘PORSCHE' badging at the centre and the Panamera 4' logo below it. The rear also features dual exhaust tips and a spoiler, which adds to its sporty character.

Interiors & Features
The exclusive design highlights and elements are further carried forward to the interiors as well. The special edition saloon features metal door sills, with the ‘Panamera 10' logo. This logo can also be seen on the front passenger trim panel, again finished in the exclusive ‘White Gold Metallic'. The door panels also feature a pin-stripe finished in the same exclusive colour.

As standard, Porsche offers the Panamera with premium leather upholstery all across the cabin. This on the 10-year edition comes with ‘White Gold' stitching, which further adds to the saloon's high-quality impression inside.

Porsche also offers the Panamera 4 with a host of other features. This includes 14-way electrically-adjustable comfort seats, digital radio, BOSE Surround Sound system, soft-close doors and the Porsche crest on the head restraints.

Other standard equipments on offer on the Porsche Panamera 4 include an instrument cluster with an analogue rev counter, flanked on either side by two digital displays, a large 12-inch high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, touchscreen display at the rear seats to control most in-car functions, four-zone climate control and a whole lot of other features, equipment and technology.

Porsche has also equipped the saloon with a host of safety features. The 10-year edition of the Panamera 4 comes with an adaptive three-chamber air suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), lane change assist, park assist, reversing camera and power steering plus, as standard.

Powertrain & Performance
Mechanically, the Porsche Panamera 4 10-year Edition remains identical to the standard models. The luxury sports saloon continues to be powered by a 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6 engine producing 326bhp at 5200rpm and 450Nm of peak torque at 1750rpm. The power is sent to all-four wheels via the brand's PDK transmission unit.
The Porsche Panamera 4 10-year edition is capable of accelerating from 0 - 100km/h in just 5.5 seconds while reaching a top speed of 262km/h.

Thoughts On The Porsche Panamera 4 10-Years Edition
The special model of the Panamera 4 celebrates 10 years of the luxury sports saloon being in production. The Porsche Panamera 4 10-Years Edition rivals the likes of the BMW 8 Series Coupe, Mercedes-AMG GT63 S 4-door Coupe and the Audi RS7 Sportback.
