Design

The new (2020) Hyundai Creta comes with a completely revamped design compared to the outgoing model. The new Creta SUV borrows design cues from the international ix25 SUV, which debuted at the 2019 Beijing Auto Show.

Starting with the front, the new Creta SUV now comes with dual headlamp design, with the LED DRLs positioned above the main headlamp cluster. The LED DRLs come in an inverse C-Shape, surrounding the main headlamps which also feature LED projector units.

The headlamps flank a new cascading front grille on the Hyundai Creta. The new front grille is larger and comes surrounded by a thin strip of chrome all around. The grille also comes with horizontal chrome slats, offering a more premium character to the SUV at the front. The front bumpers have also been redesigned and house a new set of fog lamps, a central air intake and silver scuff plates.

The new Creta also features more character lines, below the window and over the wheel arches, giving it a more muscular look than before. Hyundai has also brought in a newly-designed set of alloy wheels on the new Creta as well.

Interiors & Features

Hyundai hasn't revealed the interiors of the new Creta. However, the SUV is expected to receive a host of premium updates, both in terms of features and overall quality of materials. We expect the new Hyundai Creta to come with soft-touch materials all around, premium leather seating upholstery for the higher-spec variants, large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a host of other features.

The old/outgoing Hyundai Creta also missed out on the brand's latest connectivity feature, the ‘Blue Link technology', which first debuted on the Venue SUV. This connected technology could be incorporated into the new Creta's infotainment unit.

There are also a host of other safety features as well on the new Hyundai Creta. This includes multiple airbags, pedestrian protection system, ABS with EBD, immobilizer, seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert system and a bunch of others, most of which come as standard across variants.

The 1.5-litre petrol and diesel and the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine options will power the new Hyundai Creta. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol option though will be available only on the higher-spec models, similar to the Seltos. Transmission options will also be similar to the Kia SUV, this includes a standard six-speed manual with varying automatic gearbox units for the different engine choices.

We expect all three engines on the new Hyundai Creta to produce the same power and torque figures as on the Kia Seltos, although it is yet to be confirmed officially.
