Meru Cabs Partners With MakeMyTrip To Provide Sanitised Cab Services Across Major Airports
Mumbai based ridesharing company, Meru Cabs, has partnered with Gurugram based online travel company, MakeMyTrip Limited in order to provide sanitised cab services across major airports in the country.
The brand stays committed to safety of both its drivers and other passengers, and has introduced a set of hygiene measures that include minimising driver-passenger exposure during the trip. The stringent measures have been implemented by both brands across all touchpoints.
Safety measures implemented include an ozone sanitisation that controls the spread of bacteria and viruses inside the cabin, an Isopropyl Alcohol sanitisation of the vehicle's exteriors, and a temperature check of its driver-partners at sanitisation hubs at airports.
In addition, hygiene measures within the cab include an Air-protect Barrier sheet that is placed between the driver-partner and the passenger, and availability of an alcohol-based hand sanitiser inside the cabin.
Mr Parikshit Chaudhary, the Chief Business Officer for Ground Transport at MakeMyTrip Limited said, "The partnership will help us provide a seamless and safe experience and takes one big worry away for our users who are flying, by helping them pre-book their airport transfers."
"With its exemplary safety standards for both riders and drivers, this partnership helps us prioritise travellers' health and safety at all times of their travel journey," he added.
Meru recently introduced an Ozone Treatment to sanitise the cabs at dedicated hubs across various cities in the country. The treatment includes releasing Ozone (O3) inside every cab. Ozone helps reduce the spread of viruses and bacteria within the cabin.

The brand deployed over 800 fully sanitised vehicles to be used by bank employees, and even encouraged cashless payments in order to maintain social distancing. The initiative was taken in order to help employees that used public transport between their homes and workplaces. To know more, click here.
