There is a possibility that all the vehicles Jeep launches in the country will be manufactured at the brand's Ranjangaon facility in order to keep pricing as competitive as possible.
Manufacturing in India will bring a major level of localisation that will help the company reduce costs, and offer a more feature rich car as compared to the competition across segments.
The company recently upgraded its Compass range of SUVs to meet BS6 compliance, and offers the vehicle with petrol and diesel engines.
In Jeep related news, the brand recently recalled its Wrangler Unlimited models in the country over a possible safety issue that results in a no-start and/ or stall conditions.
Fifty-three units of the Wrangler Unlimited models manufactured between March 2019 and January 2020 are said to be affected. To know more, click here.
