Tata Nexon EV Bookings Officially Open: India-Launch Expected In The Coming Months
Tata Motors recently unveiled their all-electric Nexon SUV in the Indian market. The company has now confirmed the official start of bookings for the Nexon EV in the country.
The Tata Nexon EV bookings can now be done either online or through select dealerships across the country. Booking amount for the new Tata Nexon is Rs 21,000. With bookings now underway, the launch of the new Tata Nexon EV is expected to take place in the coming months.
The new Tata Nexon EV will be offered in three variants: XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX. All three variants will be offered with a host of features and equipment. This includes keyless entry, push-button start/stop, fully-automatic climate control, seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather-wrapped steering wheel, reverse park assist with camera, automatic headlamps, automatic rain-sensing wipers, sunroof, dual-tone paint scheme and a host of others.
In terms of design, the new Tata Nexon EV previews the facelift version of its conventional fuel-powered sibling. The new Nexon EV comes with sharper-looking headlamps with projectors and integrated LED DRLs, updated front bumper with fog lamps and central air intake.
Apart from these changes, the Nexon EV also comes with blue accents and highlights all around the SUV. This includes blue highlights on the central air intake, window-line and on the rear boot. The blue accents are also carried forward to the interiors as well. The new Tata Nexon EV has also received a host of updates, making it look more premium as well.
In terms of specifications, the new Tata Nexon EV comes powered by a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack mated to an electric motor. This powertrain produces a total of 245Nm of peak torque, with a maximum range of 300km on a single charge.
Tata Motors offers the all-electric SUV with fast-charging technology as well. The batteries which take 8 hours to fully charge on a standard charging port, will be able to charge up to 80% in 60 mins with the fast-charging option.
The Tata Nexon is offered in a range of three colour options: Signature Teal Blue, Glacier White and Moonlit Silver. Higher variants will also come with dual-tone paint schemes as well.
Thoughts On The Tata Nexon EV Bookings
The Tata Nexon EV is the brand's latest all-electric product in the country. It debut's the brand's new Ziptron technology which was showcased earlier this year. Once launched in India, the Tata Nexon EV is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 15 lakh and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Kona EV and the upcoming MG ZS electric SUV.
