Maruti Suzuki S-Presso: Top Things To Know About The Latest Mini-SUV In India
Maruti Suzuki has launched the S-Presso mini-SUV in the Indian market. The new Maruti S-Presso comes with a host of features and equipment and has a starting price of Rs 3.69 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
The new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is the company's first mini-SUV in India and will rival the likes of the Renault Kwid facelift and the Datsun redi-GO. The mini-SUV comes is offered with a range of six variants: Std, LXi, VXi, VXi+, VXi AGS and VXi+ AGS. Each of the variants come packed with a host of features and equipment — here is the variant-wise feature list of the Maruti S-Presso.

Power & Torque
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is available in a single petrol engine option. This includes a BS-VI compliant 998cc three-cylinder engine churning out 68bhp and 90Nm of peak torque. The engine is further mated to a standard five-speed manual gearbox. The higher-spec variants further get the additional AGS automatic transmission from Maruti Suzuki.
Top Speed & Acceleration
Maruti Suzuki is yet to officially announce the top speed and acceleration report for the S-Presso mini-SUV. However, comparing it to its competitors and taking the Alto K10's performance into consideration, we estimate the top speed of the Maruti S-Presso is in the range of 140km/h.
In terms of acceleration, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso should be able to reach a 0 - 60km/h time in a little over 8 seconds.

Mileage & Fuel Tank Capacity
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is offered with a fuel tank capacity of 27-litres. Maruti Suzuki claims that the S-Presso will deliver an ARAI-certified mileage of 21.4km/l with the petrol-manual variants. The petrol-automatic variants, however, will return a slightly higher mileage of 21.7km/l. This ideally should give the Maruti S-Presso a total range of a maximum of 586km on a full tank.
Seating Capacity & Boot Space
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes with a seating capacity of 5 people; 3 passengers in the rear seat along with the driver and front passenger. However, going through the dimensions we expect the S-Presso to be able to comfortably carry 4 passengers with two occupants in the rear seat. Boot space on the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is expected to be 177-litres, similar to that of the Alto K10 in the product lineup.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is the first mini-SUV from the brand in India. The dimensions of the Maruti S-Presso are compact and similar to that of an entry-level hatchback in India.

Ground Clearance & Tyre Size
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes with a ground clearance of 180mm, which is similar to most other large SUVs in the market. The S-Presso mini-SUV uses relatively small 13-inch wheels which come as standard. The higher-spec variants receive the optional 14-inch wheels.
All four wheels on the ‘Std' and ‘LXi' variants come with a 145/80 R13 profile. The VXi and VXi+ variants are offered with larger wheels with 165/70 R14 profiles at all ends.
Colours
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is offered in a range of vibrant new colours. The S-Presso comes in six different paint schemes, this includes Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey and Metallic Silky Silver.
