Hyundai Venue Bookings Cross 75,000 Milestone: Registers Over 45,000 Sales Since Launch
Hyundai Venue was launched in India 5 months back in the Indian market. The Hyundai Venue is the brand's first compact-SUV in the market. The SUV received an overwhelming response in the Indian market since its launch.
The Hyundai Venue bookings in India has crossed over 75,000 units since its launch. Hyundai has also announced that the Venue has sold over 45,000 units in the 5 months since its launch in the country.
The Hyundai Venue is offered with a host of features and equipment, along with three powerful engine options; making it a very attractive compact-SUV in the Indian market. The Venue rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and the Tata Nexon in the market.
The Venue also managed to top the SUV sales consistently for the first couple of months after its launch. The SUV overtook sales of even the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, which had managed to remain unbeaten for the past year.
Hyundai offers the Venue with a choice of three engine options. This includes a 1,0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 120bhp mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT gearbox.
Other engine options on the new Hyundai Venue include a 1.2-litre petrol, borrowed from the Elite i20. This engine produces 82bhp and 115Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a standard five-speed manual gearbox.
The Venue also comes with a 1.4-litre diesel borrowed from the Creta SUV. The 1.4-litre diesel churns out 89bhp and 220Nm of peak torque. This is mated to a six-speed manual.
The Hyundai Venue sales have also been consistent month-on-month. The SUV brings in volume sales, with the Venue registering 7,942 units of sales in the previous month. Overall, the Hyundai Venue has crossed 45,000 units of sales in 5 months. This is an average of roughly 8,000 units per month.
The Venue has also become a regular in the top-10 best-selling car list in the Indian market. In the SUV segment, the Hyundai model has registered the second-best sales figures in the month of September 2019 — here are the top-selling SUVs in India.
