Bentley Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition Delivered In Karnataka

The company has delivered their flagship limousine to Mr. V.S. Reddy, Managing Director, British Biological. To celebrate this occasion, Mr. Reddy decided to share this moment with his employees.

Speaking to us at the occasion, Mr. V.S. Reddy, said,
"This is certainly a proud moment for me and I want to share this with my family, employees and dear ones, who have helped me in my journey. I started my journey back in 1992 with an aim to establish a company and today we are leading the nutritional market. Today I am happy about providing jobs to 3,000 people more than the car. But, with the hard work that has gone in to developing the company, it was time to treat ourself with something special."

The keys to the car were handed over to Mr. Reddy by Mr. Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors Pvt. Ltd. Exclusive Motors are the official retailers for the Bentley and the Bugatti in India. They have showrooms located in Bombay, Delhi and Hyderabad across the country.

Mr. Bagla confirmed that they will be catering to buyers across India regardless of where they stay in the country. Also, the dealership will look to expand in the number of showrooms, if the market demands for it.

Getting into the details and specs of the Bentley Mulsanne EWB (Extended WheelBase), the dimension reads 5825mm in length, 2208mm in width, 1541mm in height with 3516mm wheelbase. The EBW model features 250mm extra wheelbase over the standard model, all placed for the rear passengers.

The exterior of the car houses a stainless steel vertical radiator grille flanked by full LED head-lamps on either side with turn indicators placed next to it. The rear of the car houses a B-shaped tail-lamp cluster, with LED lighting and integrated turn indicators. The cars look massive with the long wheel base from the side.

The car is finished in a dual-tone paint that with upper part of the car finished in Rose Gold and the lower half finished in metallic grey. It also houses, 21-inch polished radiance alloy wheels as part of the Mulliner package.

To set it apart from the standard version of the car, the centenary edition features Bentley's ‘Flying B' mascot finished in gold detailing placed above the grille. Other badging placed on boot-lid, steering wheel, gear lever, alloy wheel center, and on the key features gold detailing as well.

The tread plates placed at the bottom of the door reminds you of the company's 100 year heritage, while getting into your Mulsanne EWB. To complete the list of additions to the Centenary Edition, the car features welcome lamps in a new design and colour placed on the doors.

The Bentley Mulsanne EWB is emphasised more towards the rear occupants, hence the sunroof is moved back and placed above the rear seats. This is combined with the airline style power operated recline seats. All four seats of the car features diamond quilted stitching finished in hide leather. The seats are ventilated, heated and cooled offering premium comfort to the occupants. There are also exquisite picnic table placed inside the rear center console as well.

The EBW model features a rear center console, from where you can operate the seats, and also have access to the glass cabinet placed in the middle of the rear seats. It also features curtains on the side and rear windows to offer maximum privacy as well. The car also features mats finished in lambswool to enhance the premium experience.

The entertainment package on the car includes two 10.4-inch screens placed at the back of the front seats for rear-passengers. These are tablet style screen and can be detached from the housing as well. Through this tablet rear occupants can see and control all the aspects of the car including the driving dynamics.

Stepping into the front, you will be presented with a dashboard, steering wheel and the gear lever finished in veneer. The door panels across the car are finished in the same veneer as well.

The front-end of the center console house all the buttons to operate various features of the car. An eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system is placed at the center of the dashboard. The car features Bentley's Naim premium audio system offering a theater like experience. Also, placed on the dashboard are three analogue dials. This includes a clock in the middle, with the fuel gauge and the engine temperature gauge placed on either side.

The four-spoke steering wheel finished in part-leather and part-veneer, houses mounted controls to operate the audio system, cruise control and more. It also features paddle shifters placed at the back of the steering. The start/stop push button is placed right next to the gear lever on the center console. The instrument cluster featured on the car is part-digital unit with an MID (Multi Information Display) placed at the center.

The Bentley Mulsanne EWB is powered by the company's famous 6 and three-quarter litre engine producing 506bhp and 1020Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 5.5 seconds and continue to reach a top speed of 296kmph.

To offer premium ride quality, the company has equipped the Bentley with air suspension and four different settings to adjust the firmness as well. Braking on the Bentley Mulsanne EWB are handled by carbon-ceramic disc rotors offering maximum stopping power to bring the massive limousine to a halt quickly.
