The XC40 SUV is available in a single variant, the R-Design trim, at an introductory price of Rs 39.90 lakh, ex-showroom (India). Volvo has already started accepting bookings for the XC40, for an amount of Rs 5 lakh.
The smallest SUV from the Swedish car manufacturer carries forward the company's signature upright design language. Volvo hopes that their new SUV will help provide a good push in terms of sales figures for the company.

The R-Design trim also comes with a dual-tone paint scheme. The XC40 also gets a blackened roof and A-pillars as standard across all colour choices.
Inside, the cabin receives black upholstery with lava carpeting and door inserts. Other standard features on the new Volvo XC40: nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, three-spoke steering wheel with leather stitching, virtual instrument cluster and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety equipment on the small SUV includes lane keep assist, blind spot warning, pilot assist, emergency braking, traction control, ESP, hill descent control, adaptive cruise control and eight airbags.
Thoughts On The New Volvo XC40
