Volkswagen Launches New Limited Edition Polo Pace And Vento Sport

Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said that the Vento and the Polo have been their top-selling cars since their inception in the Indian market. Hence they aim to give their customers the power of choice with the two new variants.

The Vento Sport gets glossy black roof and spoiler, black carbon finish ORVM, stylish side foils and a chrome ‘Sport' badge on the fenders. It also sports 16-inch Portago Alloy wheels.

Meanwhile, the Polo Pace gets 15" diamond-cut ‘Razor' alloy wheels. Other than that, the Volkswagen Polo Pace remains identical to the regular model. The Polo Pace comes only with a 1.0-litre MPi unit, mated to a 5-speed manual.

The Vento Sport comes in five variants, with either a 1.2-litre petrol or 1.5-litre diesel power plant. The diesel is available in both manual or DSG Automatic versions.

Both the Vento Sport and the Polo Pace are now available in all Volkswagen India dealerships across the country. The Volkswagen Vento starts at a price of Rs 8.19 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The base Polo is priced at Rs 5.42 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

Thoughts On The New Volkswagen Polo Pace And The Vento Sport

The Volkswagen Polo and Vento are two of the best-selling models of the German brand. However, the replacement of the existing Polo lineup with a lesser 1.0-litre MPi unit was a letdown to many. Since the new Volkswagen Polo Pace and the Vento Sport are available at the same price of the existing models, expect them to sell in decent numbers.
