2018 Geneva Motor Show: Volkswagen has revealed the I.D. Vizzion concept at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
German automaker Volkswagen has revealed its new I.D. Vizzion concept car at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion is an autonomous electric concept car which previews the future of vehicles from the stable of the German automaker.
The Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion concept is based on the company's electric MEB platform. The electric sedan is equipped with electric motors on both the front and rear axle with a combined power output of 306bhp. The electric motors draw power from a 111kWh lithium-ion battery with a driving range of 665km.
From the exterior, the I.D. Vizzion concept features a similar design of the current models from Volkswagen. But from the inside, the concept car does not get any conventional controls. Voice commands and gestures replace the controls. A network of sensors and artificial intelligence is responsible for driving the car.

The I.D. concept is equipped with lasers, radar sensors, cameras and much more which have been concealed very well. The onboard computer monitors traffic from the cloud and matches the data from the sensors. The concept can connect with other vehicles to gather further details on the road ahead.
The interior of the I.D. Vizzion concept features four captain seat and thick carpeting. The electric autonomous sedan gets large windows and glass roof which makes the cabin bright and airy. But the occupants can also electrically darken the cabin for privacy.
Apart from that the Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion concept also features Microsoft's HoloLens augmented reality technology which can project virtual displays in front of the passengers.
