Tata Tigor EV Trim Levels Leaked; Specifications, Features & Images
Tata Tigor EV trim details leaked: The trim levels of the Tata Tigor EV has been leaked in a certification document.
Tata Motors showcased the Tigor EV electric sedan at the Auto Expo 2018 alongside the Tiago EV. The showcased Tigor EV was based on the top-spec XZ trim. Now, IAB has got hold of a certification document which reveals the trim levels of the electric variant of the Tigor compact sedan.
The Tata Tigor EV will be offered in three trim levels: XE, XM and XT. On the features front, the Tigor EV is likely to get chrome strip on the front grille, dual-tone interior, split LED tail lamps and LED stop lamp mounted on the rear windshield.
The top-spec trim of the Tigor EV is loaded with features such as projector headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs with LED turn indicators, automatic climate control and touchscreen infotainment system.
Safety features include dual airbags at the front, ABS with EBD, parking sensors and parking camera.

The Tata Tigor EV is equipped with an electric motor producing 40bhp. The electric motor is developed by Electra EV which draws power from a 216Ah battery. The battery delivers a driving range of 130km with a top speed of 100km/h.
The battery can be charged in six hours with a standard charger. Using a fast charger, 80 percent of the battery gets charged in just 90 minutes.
Tata Motors has already commenced the delivery of the Tigor EV to ESSL, but there are no details about the launch of the electric sedan. Previously, the MD of Tata Motors, Guenter Butschek stated that the Tigor EV could be launched if there is high demand.

The Indian government is pushing the use of electric vehicles in India to curb the pollutions and minimise the consumption of petrol and diesel. Tata Motors has been working on the electric variant of the Tigor and Tiago and showcased the cars at the Auto Expo 2018. We expect Tata Motors to launch the Tigor EV in India by the end of 2018 or in 2019.
