Tata Tigor Diesel Recalled Over Emission Issue
Tata Motors has recalled the Tigor sedan over an emission issue. The diesel variant of the Tata Tigor has been recalled to rectify an emission issue. Tata Tigor diesel manufactured between March 6, 2017, to December 1, 2017, has been affected by this recall. But the company has not revealed the number of units being recalled.

The diesel variant of the Tata Tigor with chassis number from MAT629401GKP52721 to MAT629401HKN89616 has been affected by this recall. The owners of the Tigor model with the emission issue will be contacted by dealer representatives. The issue will be fixed free of cost.

Tata Motors has stated that the Tigor diesel with the emission issue is safe to drive and there is no concern related to safety. Tata Motors has not specified the exact reason for the recall. It is estimated that around 7,000 units of Tigor have been affected by this recall.

The Tata Tigor is a compact sedan which is currently in the fourth position in its segment behind the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent. The average monthly sales figure of the Tata Tigor stands at around 2,655 units. The Tata Tigor diesel draws power from a 1.05-litre three-cylinder diesel engine that is tuned produce 69bhp and 140Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The emission issue will not affect the safety of the car and the owners can drive the car without any worries.
