New Tata Tiago Variant (XZ+) To Be Launched In December — Brings New Updates And Features

According to Rushlane, the new XZ+ variant of the Tata Tiago will come with a host of new exterior and interior updates, along with a host of new features. External features on the new Tata Tiago XZ+ variant include larger 15-inch dual-tone alloys, smoked projector headlamps, dual-tone roof and additional chrome elements on the boot lid. The new variant will also feature new side mouldings, as well as electrically adjustable ORVMs.

Inside, the new Tata Tiago variant will come with an updated seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a fully-automatic AC with digital controls.

The new top-end XZ+ variant of the Tiago hatchback will now be available in a range of colour choices, including two new colours - Canyon Orange and Ocean Blue. Other colour choices on offer, include Berry Red, Pearlescent White, Titanium Grey, Espresso Brown and a few other dual-tone options as well.

Apart from the new updates, the Tata Tiago will remain the same mechanically. The XZ+ trim of the Tiago will continue to be powered by two engine options: 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol and 1.05-litre three-cylinder RevoTorq diesel power units.

The petrol engine will produce 85bhp and 114Nm of torque while the diesel engine churns out 70bhp and 140Nm of torque. Both engines will come mated to a standard five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT option as well. The new XZ+ variant of the Tiago will be offered in a manual transmission only, as of now.

Thoughts On The New Tata Tiago Variant (XZ+)

The Tata Tiago is one of the most-popular hatchbacks from the Indian carmaker. The addition of the new top-end XZ+ variant comes in a bid to attract more sales and demand towards the hatchback. The new Tiago XZ+ once launched will be priced at a slight premium over the current top-spec XZ trim and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10, Nissan Micra and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
