Tata Tiago JTP And Tigor JTP Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 6.39 Lakh
Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP launched in India: Tata Motors has launched the Tiago JTP and the Tigor JTP in the country. The Tata Tiago JTP is priced at Rs 6.39 lakh and the Tigor JTP carries a price tag of 7.49 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).
JTP stands for Jayem Tata Performance and it is the result of collaboration between Tata Motors and Coimbatore-based Jayem Automotives. The joint venture is branded as JTSV (Jayem Tata Special Vehicles). Both the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP were first revealed at the Auto Expo 2018.
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP feature cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. On the design front, the Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP feature aggressive front bumper with trapezoidal lower grille, dual-chamber projector headlamps, air scoop on the bonnet and JTP branding on the front grille.
On the side profile, the JTP models are equipped with 15-inch diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels, JTP badging on the front fender vents, side skirts and contrast coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.

The rear profile of the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP features a gloss black spoiler, LED tail light cluster, twin-barrel exhaust and JTP badging. The JTP models also get a gloss black roof. Apart from that, the overall design of the sporty avatar of the Tigor and Tiago remains identical to the standard model.
The interior of the newly launched Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP features an all-black theme with red accents around the AC vents and red contrast stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The seats also get sporty hexagonal graphics with red stitching.
To enhance the sporty appeal of the JTP models, the interior also comes with machined aluminium pedals. The cabin is equipped with ConnectNext infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and 8-speaker Harman music system.
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP draw power from a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine that produces 112bhp and 150Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Tata Motors states that the gear ratios are tweaked to offer better acceleration. Both the JTP models come with a claimed 0-100km/h time of just 10 seconds.
Tata Motors has also tuned the suspension to improve the handling while the ground clearance has been reduced by 4mm. The safety features of the Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP include dual airbags, ABS, EBD and corner stability control.
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP will be sold in 15 cities and the JTP models will be available only in 30 Tata Motors dealerships across the country.

Tata Motors has finally launched the performance variant of the Tiago and the Tigor with a new brand name called as JTP. The Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP will attract the performance car enthusiasts and the affordable price tag makes the deal even better. With the festive season going on, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP should be a hit in the country.
