Tata Nexon Gets A New Feature — Now Comes With Sunroof

Tata Motors offer the Aero and the Aero Aktiv style kits which enhances the looks of the Nexon. There are several other accessories for the Tata Nexon which includes chrome garnishing on the ORVMs, bumper, front grille and doors. Now, Tata Motors is also offering a manual sunroof for the Nexon.

The sunroof on the Tata Nexon is a pop-up type sunroof which is priced at Rs 16,053. To install the sunroof, a portion of the roof's sheet metal has to be cut. The optional sunroof also does not require fiddling around with the electricals as it is manually operated. The sunroof is available on all the variants of the Tata Nexon.

Apart from the sunroof, Tata Motors also offers a host of accessories for the interior of the Nexon. Installing the sunroof does not void the warranty of the Nexon as it is an official accessory. The manual sunroof could be useful especially in summers when the temperature is high.

The sunroof also enhances the looks of the Tata Nexon and gives the compact SUV a premium touch. The sunroof is also not that expensive and can be fitted without disturbing the electricals of the compact SUV. However, the installation of the sunroof changes the structure of the roof and will affect the strength of the roof.

Tata Motors has also launched the Nexon AMT in the country with a new 6-speed AMT gearbox. The Tata Nexon AMT is based on the top-spec XZA+ and is available in both petrol and diesel model. The Tata Nexon AMT is priced at Rs 9.41 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 10.3 lakh for the diesel model. Both prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).

The Tata Nexon AMT draws power from the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 108bhp and 170Nm of torque while the diesel engine churns out 108bhp and 260Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
