Tata Nexon Gets Apple CarPlay With The Latest Software Update

Tata Motors will roll out the software update from mid-August. The existing customers can also get the software update by visiting the nearest dealership. The XZ, XZ+ and XZA+ variants of the Tata Nexon features a 6.5-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Tata Motors launched the Nexon SUV in September 2017 in the Indian market. Since its launch, the Nexon has been a hit in the country. In May 2018, the company also introduced the Nexon AMT with the top-spec XZA+ trim. Recently, the mid-spec XM was also introduced with the AMT gearbox.

The prominent features of the Tata Nexon include a touchscreen infotainment system with voice command, navigation, text and Whatsapp readout, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The safety features of the Tata Nexon include dual airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts and seat belt pretensioners. The Tata Nexon also scored an impressive four-star rating in the latest Global NCAP crash tests. The body of the Tata Nexon has been rated as rigid.

The Tata Nexon draws power from a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 108bhp and 170Nm of torque while the diesel unit is good for 108bhp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
