Porsche 911 GT2 RS India Launch Details Revealed

The report also states that the Porsche has allocated more than one unit of the GT2 RS for India and has received a lot of queries for the car. Porsche has already introduced the performance version of the 911 in the form of 911 GT3 and the 911 GT3 RS in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS was revealed in 2017 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and it sits on top of the Porsche lineup due to its performance figures. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is in its second-gen avatar and it is one of the legendary cars produced by the German automaker.

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS draws power from a 3.8-litre flat-six, twin-turbocharged engine pumping out a whopping 686bhp and 750Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a ZF-sourced 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox delivering power to the rear wheels. The car can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds before topping out at 340km/h.

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is also lighter than the standard 911 due to the weight-saving parts such as carbon-fibre bonnet, front wings, ORVM housings and air duct surrounds. The track-focused car also gets titanium exhaust system that is 7kg lighter and magnesium roof as standard.

The kerb weight of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS stands at 1,470kg and the hardcore 911 is offered with Weissach Package to reduce the overall weight by another 30kg. The package comes with a carbon-fibre roof, roll bars and magnesium alloy wheels. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is also the fastest production car around the Nurburgring with a lap time of 6:47.30.
