The first iteration of the Pete's Festival Of Speed was held on 13th and 14th of January 2018, at CIAL Convention Centre, Kochi, Kerala, with the active participation of a variety of cars and bikes.
When we arrived at the Pete's Festival Of Speed 2018, we were welcomed by an enormous cloud of tyre smoke produced by a Ford Mustang GT doing a burnout. Though it wasn't any good for the lungs, talk about starting a car show!
The first edition of Pete's Festival Of Speed 2018 (Formerly called, Pete's Super Sunday) was held on 13th and 14th of January 2018, at Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) Convention Centre, Cochin, Kerala.

Besides the display at CIAL Convention Centre, Cochin, there was also a supercar rally through the ghat roads in Idukki district, Kerala.
The rally was conducted with all the necessary safety precautions and succeeded in avoiding any public attention in the wrong way.
This year's performance portfolio predominantly included – The Nissan GT-R (R35), Lamborghini Huracan Coupé and Roadsters, Porsche 911 Models (997, 991, 991.2), Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Audi R8 (V8 and V10), BMW F10 M5 and F82 M4, various Mercedes-AMG models, and Ford Mustang GTs.
Coming to motorcycles, it is almost impossible to list out even half of them. Such was the variety in the line-up, with genres such as Superbikes, Cruisers, Sports cruisers, Adventure and Modern Classics, parked across the pavilion.
The Pete's Festival Of Speed 2018 gave an opportunity to all the petrolheads who are active in social media to spend some quality time around supercars and superbikes, they have seen only in pictures and videos.
The owners of these engineering marvels were very friendly to their followers and to any genuine automotive enthusiast who started a conversation with them.
This gesture also resulted in the crowd behaving very responsibly and decently, while the cars left the show, without any barricades to separate them from the gathered mass.
The atmosphere was so alive with engine notes, cheers and music, making the venue entertaining even under the bright sun.
As part of the event, Rally-car and Dirt-bike races were conducted at specially set grounds beside the venue.
The audience was also treated visually by some highly talented Motocross riders who showcased their stunting skills.
Go-Karting sessions were also available, to add to the adrenaline.
The first iteration of the show, the Pete's Super Sunday, was held way back in 2012, and it was something the state of Kerala had never witnessed before.
Since then, the event grew in both quality and quantity (with versions in 2014 and 2016), to what it is now.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The Pete's Festival Of Speed series is an event like no other. Beyond just supercars spitting flames, and superbikes vrooming past, the event truly showed what such automobiles meant to some people.
The 2018 edition of the Pete's Festival Of Speed was a show that gave absolute justice to its title, and what Pete's Automotive Products have in store for the fifth iteration of the Super Sunday, is something we would have to wait and see!
