As per Team-BHP, the new Maruti Swift launch date is on February 9, 2018, at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018 to be held between February 7th to 14th, 2018.
Maruti dealers have begun accepting bookings for the 2018 Swift for Rs 11,000. The new Swift price is expected to range between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh depending on variants. The all-new Swift has some exciting new changes; you can read more of it here.
The 2018 Maruti Swift is available in 12 different variants across four trims along with six vibrant colour choices. The 2018 Swift features a sporty new grille design and along with the stylish swept back headlamps, the new-generation Swift is expected to give its rivals a substantial challenge in the segment.
The new Swift model will be manufactured at Maruti's Gujarat facility, and ahead of its launch in India, the next-generation Maruti Swift already commands two months waiting period. The new Swift hatchback is based on the HEARTECT platform making the 2018 Swift lighter and safer than the outgoing model.
The new chassis of the Swift is not new to India; the same platform underpins the new Maruti Dzire, Baleno and the upcoming Maruti Ertiga facelift. The Maruti Swift 2018 model is the first launch of the company and will rival the likes of Ford Figo, Hyundai Grand i10, Nissan Micra among others.
The new Maruti Swift is available in both petrol and diesel engine. While the petrol engine will be a 1.2-litre unit that produces 83bhp and 140Nm of torque, the diesel engine is a 1.3-litre unit developing 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with the option of the 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox.
