2018 Maruti Ciaz Facelift Spotted Completely Undisguised — Launch Soon

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz facelift spotted undisguised is finished in Nexa Blue paint scheme and the logo and the badging of the car is covered with masking tape. The car seems to be the top-spec Alpha trim as it features projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights.

With the new Ciaz facelift being tested without any camouflage, we can expect the sedan to be launched sooner than expected. Currently, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the 2018 Ciaz facelift around the festive season. The 2018 Ciaz facelift features updates to the exterior design and engine.

On the design front, the new Maruti Ciaz facelift features a redesigned grille, newly designed headlamps with new LED DRLs, revamped front bumper with a new central air dam and C-shaped chrome inserts on the fog lamp housing. The overall silhouette of the car remains the same as the currently sold model.

Other updates on the 2018 Maruti Ciaz facelift include new multi-spoke alloy wheels. The sedan also gets chrome door handles and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators have been carried over from the existing model. The car gets redesigned tail light cluster and revamped rear bumper with reflectors on either side.

The Maruti Ciaz facelift is expected to draw power from an all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine which will replace the existing 1.4-litre unit. The diesel variant of the Ciaz facelift will be powered by the same 1.3-litre engine with SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle From Suzuki) technology.

Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and Maruti Suzuki might also introduce a new automatic gearbox which will replace the 4-speed AT. The interior of the facelifted premium sedan will also get subtle updates in the form of new dashboard theme and seat upholstery.

Maruti Suzuki has been testing the Ciaz facelift for quite some time. The 2018 Ciaz will feature an updated front and rear end and will also get the new petrol engine. The new Ciaz will be a crucial product in the Indian market. The new Ciaz will take on the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento.
