Maruti Suzuki India aims to achieve even more sales figures with the introduction of models, such as the new Swift. Suzuki has spent almost around Rs 800 crore for the R&D of the new Swift.
These are the upcoming new Maruti cars:
1. Maruti Swift Third Generation
The new Swift is based on Suzuki's light HEARTECT platform, which uses lightweight, high tensile steel for improved dynamics.
Power comes from the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, with 82bhp and 74bhp, respectively. The new Swift is expected to come with a 5-speed manual and an automatic gearbox.
2. New Maruti WagonR
The new WagonR will retain its ‘tall-boy' design, while offering an entirely new exterior and interior design.
The WagonR will be powered by the same 1-litre petrol engine, and will be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. LPG or CNG options might also be available.
3. New Maruti Ertiga Facelift
The new Ertiga too will be based on Suzuki's HEARTECT platform, just like the new Swift. The facelifted Ertiga has been seen testing on Indian roads, a few times.
The new Ertiga facelift will come with a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine, mated to a manual or AMT gearbox. The 7-seater Maruti MPV will also have updates to the interior as well.
4. New Maruti Ciaz Facelift
The new Ciaz was first showcased at the Chengdu Motor Show 2017, held in China. The Ciaz facelift is named as Alivio in Chinese markets. Test mules of the new Maruti Ciaz have been spied on Indian roads in early 2017.
The facelifted Ciaz will carry only cosmetic changes and will be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
