The new Lexus ES 300h is based on their Global Architecture-K (GA-K) platform. This is a derivative of their parent company Toyota's TNGS platform.
The new Lexus ES 300h comes with a number of styling updates on both the exterior and interior. The new sedan also features a more powerful powertrain.
The new Lexus ES 300h is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, petrol engine. The engine is further coupled with an electric motor. The engine and the electric motor together produce a total power output of 214bhp. The new fourth-generation Hybrid Drive System on the Lexus sedan is Euro-VI compliant, with a claimed mileage of 22.37km/l.
Exteriors of the ES 300h comes with Lexus' trademark spindle grille. The car also features slim LED headlamps with distinctive L shaped marker lights. The new Lexus ES 300h rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. While nine exterior paint finishes are on offer for the new sedan offering.
Inside, the ES 300h receives a dark-brown dashboard, which tilts slightly towards the driver. Other features on the new Lexus sedan includes a 12.3-inch infotainment system operated via a touchpad, seven-inch instrument cluster, fully adjustable heads-up display, heated front seats, power-recline function on the rear seats and 17 speakers from Mark Levinson Pure Play system.
The interiors of the Lexus ES 300h come with four paint schemes and three cabin trim levels. The four paint schemes for the interiors include Black, Chateau, Topaz Brown and Rich Cream. While the three different cabin trims are the light-coloured bamboo trim, along with two Shimamoku wood trim in black and brown.
The new Lexus ES 300h comes with all the latest safety features, which include stability control, hill-start assist, Anti-theft system and ten airbags.

Bookings for the new ES 300h has already started. In India, the new Lexus ES 300h takes on rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BMW 5-series.
