2018 Honda Jazz Images Revealed Ahead Of Launch
Honda is all set to launch the new 2018 Jazz hatchback in the Indian market on July 19, 2018. Now, Autocar India has revealed the first images of the 2018 Honda Jazz and the hatchback gets no styling updates. We have already reported about the variants of the new Jazz and the car gets few new features.
The latest images of the 2018 Honda Jazz reveal that India will not get the facelifted model which is sold in the global markets. The global-spec Jazz features newly designed bumpers and looks sporty as compared to the current model. But the India-spec model remains unchanged except for some minor changes.
The India-spec 2018 Honda Jazz even misses out on the LED headlights seen on the international model. Overall, Honda will not bring the facelift package to the Indian market. The only change on the 2018 Jazz is the slightly restyled tail light cluster.
The interior of the 2018 Honda Jazz gets some changes in the form of a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Apart from that the overall design of the dashboard remains unchanged. It's disappointing that Honda will not bring the facelifted model to India.
Mechanically, the 2018 Honda Jazz will continue to draw from the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 89bhp and 110Nm of torque while the diesel unit is good for 98bhp and 200Nm of torque. The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox and the diesel engine comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The 2018 Honda Jazz will be available in three variants: S, V and VX and the petrol engine will be offered only on the V and VX trims. The colour options for the 2018 Honda Jazz include Radiant Red, Lunar Silver, Orchard White, Golden Brown and Modern Steel.
Thoughts On The 2018 Honda Jazz
When Honda revealed the Jazz facelift for the international markets, we expected the facelift Jazz to be introduced in India. But now Honda has skipped the facelift and will introduce the Jazz with minor updates. The Honda Jazz does not get any of the visual changes seen in the new global-spec model.
