2018 Honda CR-V Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 28.15 Lakh
2018 Honda CR-V launched in India: Honda has launched the new 2018 CR-V SUV in the country. The 2018 Honda CR-V is launched in India with a starting price of Rs 28.15 lakh ex-showroom (India). The 2018 Honda CR-V features updated exterior design, a new diesel engine and seven-seater configuration.
Variants And Price
The 2018 Honda CR-V is available in three variants: Petrol 2WD, Diesel 2WD and Diesel AWD. The petrol 2WD variant of the new Honda CR-V is priced at Rs 28.15 lakh while the diesel 2WD costs Rs 30.65 lakh. The top-spec diesel AWD variant of the SUV carries a price tag of Rs 32.75 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom (India). The seven-seater variant is only available with the diesel engine.
Design
The new 2018 Honda CR-V features a new sharp and angular design. The front fascia of the SUV sports a prominent chrome bar on the grille, LED headlamps with daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, a silver skid plate and a muscular bumper.
The side profile of the new Honda CR-V features a newly designed diamond-cut, three-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear end of the new 2018 Honda CR-V gets redesigned tail light cluster, a chrome bar running across the tailgate, shark-fin antenna and skid plate. The SUV also gets roof rails for a rugged look.
The new Honda CR-V will be available in five colour options: White Orchid Pearl, Radiant Red, Golden Brown Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic.
Interior And Features
The interior of the new 2018 Honda CR-V is luxurious and premium and comes with a host of features. The new CR-V is equipped with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a TFT LCD instrument cluster, USB port, HDMI port and an eight-speaker audio system.
Other prominent features of the 2018 Honda CR-V include leather seat upholstery, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, paddle shifters for the automatic variant, rear AC vents, third-row AC, eight-way power adjustable driver seat and premium wood finish garnish on the dashboard and door trims.
Safety
The new 2018 Honda CR-V comes with a host of safety features such as six airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, vehicle stability assist, agile handling assist, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors with camera and lanewatch camera.
Engine Specifications
The petrol variant of the new Honda CR-V draws power from a 2-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC engine that produces 151bhp and 189Nm of torque. The engine mated to a CVT gearbox.
The new updated Honda CR-V also gets an all-new 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, i-DTEC diesel engine that churns out 118bhp and 300Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel engine is also available with an optional all-wheel-drive system.
Mileage
The petrol variant of the new 2018 Honda CR-V returns a claimed best-in-class mileage of 14.4km/l while the diesel model delivers a mileage of 19.5km/l.
