2018 Ford EcoSport Signature Edition Spotted Undisguised; Features Sporty New Alloy Wheels
New Ford EcoSport Signature Edition spied in India without camouflage.
Ford India keeps reinventing its models with special editions to keep the product fresh in the market. This is evident with the new Ford EcoSport Signature Edition spied undisguised in India. Team-BHP reports that the new EcoSport Signature Edition was spotted testing on Chennai highway without camouflage suggesting that company could launch the special edition EcoSport in India soon.
The new Ford EcoSport Signature Edition features new alloy wheels and looks sporty compared to the current model. The spy pictures of the EcoSport Signature Edition also reveals the 'Signature' Edition badging on the left side of the tailgate. Apart from the new alloy wheels, there isn't much that we can notice.
We do expect the 2018 Ford EcoSport Signature Edition to feature subtle changes to its front profile as well as certain updates inside the SUV to set it apart from the regular model. Ford launched the 2018 EcoSport in India in November 2017 and kept the prices same as the outgoing model despite prominent changes to its equipment and features.

The most-significant change inside the new EcoSport is the new freestanding touchscreen infotainment system that is housed in the centre of the dashboard. The new infotainment system of the EcoSport supports the third generation of Ford's Sync setup as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with the latter getting Siri; however, the SUV missed out on navigation feature.

The Ford EcoSport Signature Edition is expected to be powered by the current engines. Currently, the new EcoSport is powered by the brand new three-cylinder 1.5-litre petrol engine from Ford's Dragon series producing 121bhp and 150Nm of torque. The petrol unit comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and new 6-speed automatic gearbox.
As for the diesel model, the 1.5-litre unit develops 97bhp and 200Nm of torque and is available only with the 5-speed manual gearbox and misses out on the automatic gearbox.

As mentioned earlier, Ford keeps reinventing its product lineup to keep its product fresh in the segment. The new Ford EcoSport Signature Edition spied testing in India reveals a sporty looking EcoSport and offers a second option for car buyers in India.
The Ford EcoSport rivals the likes of Maruti Brezza and the Tata Nexon in India, and with the Signature Edition, Ford is looking to have an edge over its competition in the Indian market.
