New Ford Aspire Facelift Spotted Undisguised Ahead Of Launch; To Rival The Honda Amaze
Ford is all set to launch their new facelift version of the Aspire in India on the 4th October.
Ford is all set to launch the facelift version of their compact sedan offering, the Aspire in India. The new Ford Aspire facelift is expected to be launched in India on the 4th October 2018.
Ahead of its launch, Team-BHP has revealed uncamouflaged spy images of the new Aspire facelift. The new facelift Aspire comes with a host of new styling updates and features. Ford is also expected to introduce a new petrol engine for the upcoming Aspire model.
As seen from the spy images, the new Ford Aspire comes with a honeycomb front grille compared to the horizontal slats on the outgoing model.
Other updates also include redesigned fog lamps, headlamps and bumpers. The front bumpers now house a larger air dam, which is integrated with the C-shaped fog lamp clusters on either side.
The rear of the car though comes with minimal changes. The new Ford Aspire facelift features a taillight cluster similar to the outgoing model.
What's new is the rear parking camera, which now sits on top of the number plate housing. The Aspire facelift now comes with newly designed multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside, the new Ford Aspire comes with a dual-tone cabin finished in black and beige. The cabin also receives gloss black inserts all around.
The dashboard has been updated, it now comes with a new centre console with a floating touchscreen infotainment system.
The compact-sedan also features a three-spoke steering wheel with audio and other controls. It also features a three-pod instrument cluster as well.
Ford is most likely to offer the Aspire facelift with the option of either a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol or a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel power unit. These are the same engine options as on the Freestyle offering from the American car brand.
The transmission on the new Ford Aspire facelift is said to include the choice between a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Thoughts On The New Ford Aspire Facelift
Ford is said to be launching the Aspire facelift on the 4th October in India. Once launched the compact-sedan offering, will take on strong competition from the recently launched Honda Amaze, along with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and the Tata Tigor.
The current generation Ford Aspire comes with a starting price of Rs 5.8 lakh, ex-showroom. Ford is expected to price the new facelift model in the same range.
