MINI Oxford Edition Launched In India — A Tribute To The Brand’s British Heritage

The Oxford Edition comes with impeccable styling, meticulous craftsmanship and the iconic go-Kart thrill. It comes with an unmistakably modern and urban design while also paying tribute to its British heritage. The Oxford Edition celebrates the brand's British heritage as well as its World-famous craftsmanship.

The Mini Oxford Edition comes with the Union Jack design embedded throughout the exterior and interior of the car. This includes the rear lights, customised side scuttles, door sill finishers, LED door projections, illuminated dashboard and on the leather upholstery.

The car is available in two distinctive colour choices: Solaris Orange with Midnight-Black Roof and Midnight-Black with Solaris Orange roof. The Solaris Orange Option also comes with carbon-Black interiors while the Midnight-black option gets Chester-Malt Brown on the inside.

The special edition cars also come fitted with MINI's JCW rear spoiler and other aerodynamic kits which include JCW front and rear aprons, 17-inch track-spoke black alloys and chrome-plated double exhaust tailpipe finishers.

For the first time in India, the MINI Oxford Edition comes with the brand's ‘Yours Customised Program'. This program is available exclusively for the Oxford Edition allowing for a comprehensive personalisation option.

Other exclusive interior features on the Mini Oxford Edition: Yours Leather lounge, Illuminated Piano-Black Dashboard with the Union Jack design highlights, Multi-function Yours Leather Sport Steering Wheel and a Panoramic Sunroof.

Apart from these exclusive features, the Mini Oxford Edition also gets two packages: Excitement and Wired. The excitement package comes with LED interiors, ambient lighting with 12 colour choices, piano-black union jack design on the doors and centre console and rear-lit instrument panel on the passenger side.

The Wired package, on the other hand, comes with an 8.8-inch touchscreen with touchpad controller, professional navigation system, MINI connected XL, wireless charging and MINI Find Mate. Other infotainment options also include Harmon Kardon Speakers, eight-channel digital amplifier and Apple CarPlay.

Apart from the optional packages, Mini also offers a host of standard features and safety equipment on the model. Some of the standard features on the Oxford Edition include Heads-Up Display, Auto Start/Stop, Brake Energy Recuperation, Active Cooling Air-Flaps and an Electromechanical Power Steering.

Safety Features On The Mini Oxford Edition: front and passenger airbags, brake assist, three-point seatbelts, dynamic stability control, crash sensor, ABS, cornering brake control and run-flat tyres.

The Mini Oxford Edition comes powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine. It produces 189bhp and 280Nm of peak torque. The engine is further mated to a seven-speed automatic steptronic transmission with a 0 - 100km/h sprint time coming in just 6.7 seconds.
