2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class launched in India. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, like its predecessor, will be assembled at the carmaker's Chakan facility, in Pune. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the first made-in-India BS-VI compliant vehicle to be launched in India. The new S-Class is avalaible in S 350 d (diesel), S 450 (petrol). The Mercedes-Benz S-Class's S 350 d is the only diesel engine in the lineup which employs a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine, while the S450 gets a new turbocharged petrol 3.0-litre in-line six engine. The 2018 S-Class will rival the likes of the BMW 7 Series and the Audi A8 in the Indian market.

2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift Details
2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the standard version of the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650 which went on sale during the Auto Expo 2018. The 2018 S-Class is the facelifted model featuring new headlamps and taillights along with revised bumpers at the front and rear. On the inside, the 2018 S-Class gets two new 12.3-inch HD screen which features both the infotainment system and the central command unit.

As mentioned the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the first made-in-India BS-VI compliant engine which can run on BS-IV fuel as well on Indian roads. The BS-IV fuels have a higher content of sulphur which makes it challenging for engines developed to use the fuel that meets BS-VI emission norms. The carmaker though has made a breakthrough in this aspect making the new S-Class run on both BS-VI and BS-IV fuels.
