2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift Spied Ahead Of Launch
Maruti Suzuki India is the largest car manufacturer in the country. Next month, the manufacturer is expected to launch the much-awaited 2018 Maruti Ciaz facelift. The mid-size sedan's updated version has been totally revealed in the spy images which was clicked by Autoportal.

The facelifted version of the 2018 Ciaz will carry a slightly premium price tag over the current model. Nexa dealerships across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Pune have been accepting unofficial bookings for an amount of Rs 11,000.

On the outside, the new Ciaz features a few tweaks compared to the current model. The car gets a redesigned front bumper with a trapezium grille on the lower side. The new LED DRLs can also be seen.

The fog lamp housing gets chrome garnishing and to give it a muscular look the car has got crease lines flowing on the bonnet. The side of the car remains unchanged while the rear gets a redesigned tail lamp housing and bumper.

As per the spy images, the dashboard gets light-coloured faux wood inlays along with cruise control and feature buttons on the steering wheel. The car also gets a larger instrument cluster. The touchscreen infotainment system is bigger and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Under the hood, the 2018 Maruti Ciaz facelift will get a new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine. The engine produces 103bhp of maximum power and 138Nm of peak torque. The petrol version comes mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the diesel engine will be the same 1.3-litre DDiS unit churning out 89bhp of power with 200Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only.
Once launched, the 2018 Ciaz will lock horns with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Toyota Yaris.
